This is just a quick post to say that I will be out of town this weekend. Eric and I will be out at Camp Yamhill for Faith Quest. He is doing the video things and I will be taking photographs.

But here's a few questions to ponder and post for my reading enjoyment when I return: What has been your favorite city to live in and why? Then, what was your least favorite (city)? And where would you live if money and employment were not an obstacle?

have fun at fq! i might come out and visit one day this weekend . . . if that's even allowed.

best city to live in: portland!!! i love the people, the community, the fact that they recycle and that i can just be myself here . . . i love the NW!

worst city to live in: i don't remember much about living there, but i know that i did and from what i've heard from james and andrea it MEMPHIS is no fun. i guess it is probably mostly culture shock . . . but i don't know how long i would last in the culture of the south since i am such a nw girl . . .

where i would live if money weren't an issue: EUROPE! everywhere in europe. i would have a flat in london and one in germany and one here in portland and then just travel around and let people stay in the homes i wasn't using at the time.

I agree with Tabitha's first two answers (Memphis, as a city, sucks - I don't understand how nice people keep living here).

If money were no object . . . I would buy Coffee Time on NW 21st in Portland (there is a house that is attached to it in the back). Then I would work to make it the best 3rd place I could and live behind it.

that sounds great james! coffee time is where jon and i went as part of our first official "date" (he would disagree and say that our first "date" happened earlier than that) . . .

Best City: Glasgow - tons to do
Worst City: Lubbock, TX - nothing to do

No object? - Somewhere in Italy, near the coast, no tourists, large houses, a little Vespa to ride around in, long flowy skirts, pasta..... mmmm.

And I finally answer my own post! My favorite city to live in has been Portland, but I also enjoyed living in Hildesheim, Germany. My least favorite is harder to answer because I lived in only three or four cities growing up (all in Colorado.) I liked Colorado, but there were times that I didn't enjoy living in this town called Silt. But I think those explanations require therapy before I give them in full detail. Where woudl I be if money were not an option? I think London. I would like to live there and know all the cool little local places that tourists don't know about.

Worst place to live: above an arcade...anywhere. Never...sleep...

Best place to live: still up for grabs. Juneau, AK would be higher on the list if there were more things to do other than outdoorsy stuff. Portland has all the things that I like that Juneau doesn't. Basically anywhere that needs a church that has good coffee shops, good music, good outdoors stuff and a good cheap movie theater and I'm good. Portland or Seattle without the traffic would be nice. (I know...this is an imaginary place)

Also..."y'all" can't be in the natives' vocabulary.
