My favorite picture...

My aunt Cher took amazing pictures of the ceremony! She also put together a really cool album for us. I'm just really content right now. It's so exciting to do little things like go to the grocery store, or picking out a new shower head because our old one was just a slight dribble, or buying Raid to get rid of the ants in our apartment! It's fun to think of creative ways to reheat our left overs because we don't have a microwave. Next to come: pictures of Orlando. Stay tuned.

we had ants in our old apartment too . . . they suck! we've only had them in our new apartment once. it was totally weird. they were all over the espresso machine in the middle of the night (we had gotten up at 3am to take my mom and dad to the airport so they could fly to colorado to see my sick grandma) and they were just EVERYWHERE! so we put the espresso machine on the back balcony and poured chili powder all over the counter and the hole they were coming in (ants hate chili powder, but be careful, it stains--we have a red spot on the floor now) and they haven't returned . . . good luck!

Chili powder! My grandma had suggested that when she was out here for the wedding, but I couldn't remember what she had said. No worries though.... we just went ahead and bought some Raid. At this point I didn't really care about HOW we got rid of them, just as long as they were GONE! I see one every once in a while, but I just squish it with my finger. Have you tried beaching the stain out?

no. basically i hate bleach, but we might have to give it a shot before we move out so we can get our deposit back. jon is a little upset about the stain.

at our old apt, i just used my seventh generation all purpose cleaner and sprayed the ants when i saw them. its mild and safe for people, but killed the ants on contact. :) jon didn't like it because i would just leave them there as a warning to the other ants. he thought it was too messy. i would clean them up within an hour or so though.

All I can say is that we better get all of our deposit back.... our apartment was really dirty when we moved in. We even invested $1.99 for a new shower head, which worked SO MUCH BETTER than the one that was there. Mostly I just dream of the day when we can afford to buy a house. I don't really care for the apartment renting situation. Do you agree with me?

sort of. i do feel like we could be putting the money we spend on rent toward buying a house, but we REALLY LOVE our apt right now and don't see ourselves moving for a while. we do, however, want to get a house eventually so we can have a yard and get a REALLY BIG DOG. and then someday we will have kids. we don't have room for kids in the apt we have now and with all the stairs and doors that just swing open above the stairs, this place isn't safe for kids . . .

that's my long answer :)
