What a wonderful day its been. First I have to start off by saying that one year ago Eric and I were at Multnomah Falls and that's where he asked me to marry him! We have been married for five months now! Hmm... and all the purposal pics are on Eric's computer, so I will post this one. We had always joked during our engagement that it would be funny if our get away car was a bicycle built for two. Then it was days before the wedding and we still hadn't planned for anything and there was someone at my church that had such a bicycle in their garage! We practiced first of course, and it was at the rehearsal dinner that we decided who would drive (with a rock, paper, sissors trournament.) It was a lot of fun. Eric's groomsment tied on tin cans so it made a lot of noise and I didn't even wreck us!

I'm looking forward to a four day weekend! I will be having Thanksgiving with Eric, my friend Coleen, and my cousin J.W. is stationed just two hours north of Portland. We are attempting to make a turkey, but none of us have done it before, so we'll see how it turns out. It will be the smallest Thanksgiving I have ever participated in. I hope everyone has a nice holiday!

good, cheap fun....

I'm going through this phase where if I absolutlely have to eat out, I will order a Happy Meal from McDonalds because I think the size of the food portions might be "more healtly" for me. I know I am just kidding myself, but for the past month or so I've been getting the toy and disreguarding it right away. Then one day I met Eric for his lunch break (aren't I a nice wife???) and we ended up eating in the food court. I got my usual Happy Meal and the usual toy which is kind of like a top, but after you get it spinning then you put it inside of the little car it comes with and it moves about two inches. Eric and I discovered that it was much more fun to get the top spinning and watch the think go crazy like a ice skater on crack. After we found out these toys really do have some good use in them, I found the three other toys I had and we started having competetitions, like who could get theirs to spin the longest, knock the other persons off the table, or hitting various obstacles on the table. Yes, after dinner tonight Eric and I played with these toys for a good half hour, until we realized we might be getting to loud for the neighbors. I can't explain how fun this really is. And if you detest McDonalds, you can just buy the toy... or come over to my house and we'll let you join our new found entertainment.

I wonder if anyone reads this anymore...

Cause I really just stink at updating my blog. And my only excuse is that I don't have internet at my house... and I have two jobs and a husband which seem to occupy all the time in my day. Not that I am complaining! I love my jobs (and I really love my husband!) In fact, today we have been married for five months. I love being married and I know that we have a lot to learn about what it takes to make marriage "work", but I am looking forward to that process and I know that God is working in us every day.

So since the pumpkin patch we have carved pumpkins. Mine looked like this:

I always think I want to carve something really cool on my pumpkin, but I'm really not that good with a knife, so I end up making this face every year. Last week Eric saw that my pumpkin was looking a little sad, meaning it had nasty mold inside it. He went to pick it up and it just mushed in his hands. When I got home I thought somebody stole it and I was sad. Then I learned it was discusting, and then I was glad I wasn't there to witness its death by dumpster.

Other cool happenings.... Eric and I went to see Paul McCartney two weekends ago! It was really awesome. Although I haven't the skills to make any cool links, but here's a pic:

Did I mention the concert was awesome? Yes he's sixty years old, but he can still rock! My favorite songs were "Baby You Can Drive My Car" and "Hey Jude" and anytime he was up there by himself playing the piano. I know I will never see Paul McCartney live ever again... it was cool to be a part that history.

And the last thing you should is that I went to the zoo today because I didn't have school. It was really cold, but not rainy and a lot of the animals were out. Here is my favorite picture from the day:

Never mind... I can't get that one to work for some reason. It was of a polar bear that was playing with a ball in the water and I was so close to his face that you could actually see a little bit of drool. I get it working later for you guys.

And that is my life since picking out the pumpkins. I'm super excited to pick out a christmas tree!!!!! And I'll try to update this thing more often... we might get internet soon. Oh, Eric got a full time posistion at the Apple Store! It's nice to have income... it's nice to be able to save some of that income. Please comment on my blog... I'm really not sure if anyone reads this anymore.
